The Work Safely in the Construction Industry - CPCCOHS1001A Training Course is aimed at all workers carrying out construction work, including: self-employed persons, labourers, apprentices, trades-persons, supervisors and project managers. Students will learn the basic principles of health and safety in the construction industry as well as information about preventing workplace injury and illness, workplace injury management and workers compensation.
This Work Safely in the Construction Industry - CPCCOHS1001A Training Course will cover the following subjects:
The content of the course covers: * An explanation of OHS legislative requirements; * The identification of construction hazards and control measures; * OHS communication and reporting processes; and * OHS incident response procedures.
To obtain your ACT White Card: 1.Satisfactorily complete the White Card course to receive your statement of attainment. 2.Download or obtain an application form for a Construction Induction Card from the Office of Regulatory Services. 3.Complete the form and take it, along with your statement of attainment, suitable identification and the required fee to the ACT Office of Regulatory Services. Your application will be processed and you will be issued with your white card.
* Minimum age 14 years. * Applicants must be able to provide sufficient proof of Identification * ID MUST be presented on day of training. * Thorough understanding of written and spoken English. * Applicants must wear fully enclosed foot wear during training
* All training materials provided. Tea, coffee and kitchen facility available. Lunch not provided. * Parking available on-site.
