About This Training Course

In New South Wales, Elevated Work Platform Training for boom lifts over 11m, must be delivered by a Registered Training Organisation. Participants must demonstrate set skills and competencies and pass several tests before being eligible to be assessed for a Work Cover licence.

Participants receive both theory and practical training over 2 days and the Work Cover licence assessments are conducted on the third day. Cobra Training Services has a very successful training program with a 98% pass rate on the first attempt. If you do not pass the first time, we will re-train and re-assess you for FREE!

Subjects Covered

This EWP Over 11m (Boom Lift over 11m) Training Course covers the following subjects:

Types of EWPs, Site/Job Planning, Hazard Identification, Set Up/ Operate and Shut Down EWP, Safety Harnesses, Understanding Safety and Warning Decals, Emergency Descent Operations and Practical Operating of the EWP.

Training Course Outcomes

At the end of this EWP Over 11m (Boom Lift over 11m) Training Course, participants will be issued with a:

TLILIC2005A - Licence to Operate a Boom Type Lift over 11m - Statement of Attainment and WorkCover NSW issued Class WP - National Licence to Perfom High Risk Work - Boom Type Lift over 11m

Prerequisites

Prior to engaging in this EWP course, participants:
MUST be over 18 years of age
MUST HAVE sufficient English, Literacy and Numeracy skills to comprehend written and technical course materials.
MUST provide sufficient 100 points of Identification as per Work Cover NSW requirements.

Other Information

On successful completion of your WorkCover licence assessment, you MUST lodge relevant paperwork at Australia Post. A further $65 WorkCover processing fee is payable by each participant at an approved Australia Post outlet when lodging paperwork for the photo licence card. This fee is not covered in this
training course.
